BALI MEETS BOFA BEACH

_

Situated on the pristine white sands of Bofa Beach, Bulloch House is one of the most unusual houses on the Kenyan coast. Built entirely of local materials – makuti thatch, coral blocks, Lamu floors and doors. There are many substantial wooden pieces, mostly Teak from Indonesia and a locally made Baobab pod chandelier which graces the centre of the house. The house is a real blend of Africa and Asia.

KILIFI'S HIDDEN GEM

_

Bulloch House comprises 4 units that contain 4 double bedrooms and 1 twin room all with access to a private bathroom. The master bedroom complex includes its own walled garden where the plunge pool/Yoga garden is located.

The main living area provides beautiful views of the Indian Ocean and the beach. It comprises the dining area, sitting area and bar. This area also looks out onto the magnificent shaped pool, which is the central feature of the front gardens.

There is also a little open-plan Balinese hut on the property called Little Bali.

DECK WITH
A VIEW
_

To the far right corner of the garden is a wooden beach deck looking out over the Indian Ocean, creating a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view!

As you go for a beach walk or swim in the ocean, please feel free to collect a basket at the beach gate and help us keep our beach free of plastic.

READ & RELAX

_

The whole property is comprised of lush green tropical gardens full of trees and shrubs, many of which are indigenous and planted to attract birds and insects which benefit the whole compound.

We have been doing a bird count at Bulloch House since 1992 and so far we have managed to record over 200 different species both in the gardens and ocean side over the years. As you enjoy taking nature walks or just relaxing in the property, see if you can spot any birds!

At the entrance to the house, there is an in-house library, feel free to borrow a book and read it over your stay at Bulloch House.

"A fusion of Indian Ocean cultures. A must visit if you're in Kilifi!"
